Authentic Pratt & Whitney engine data plate from a U.S. Navy R-1830-94 Twin Wasp radial engine, as used in the legendary PB4Y-2 Privateer patrol bomber.
This original manufacturer’s plate would have been mounted directly to the engine and includes stamped specification and identification details. A fantastic piece of naval aviation history tied to one of the most important long-range patrol aircraft of WWII and the postwar era.
The R-1830 Twin Wasp powered numerous U.S. military aircraft, but the -94 variant was notably used in the Navy’s PB4Y-2 Privateer — the single-tail evolution of the B-24 Liberator, purpose-built for maritime patrol and anti-submarine operations.
Condition: Original vintage plate with honest age and patina. Excellent display piece with strong legibility. No reproductions — this is the real thing.
A rare opportunity to own a genuine identification plate from one of the most iconic naval patrol aircraft engines of World War II.
