Offered here is an authentic WWII SBD Dauntless dive bomber fuel gauge, manufactured by General Electric for U.S. Navy aircraft. The Douglas SBD played a decisive role in the Pacific Theater, most famously at the Battle of Midway.
This original cockpit instrument is in working condition and presents in excellent shape, with clear markings, clean face, and only minimal age-appropriate wear. A fine example of wartime American aviation engineering.
GE-produced aircraft instruments from the SBD are increasingly scarce, especially functional examples in this condition.
