RARE WWII USAAF Ferry Fuel Tank – Atlantic & Pacific Combat Aircraft Delivery – Functional Survivor

WWII USAAF Ferry Fuel Tank – Functional – Overseas Delivery Use

Authentic World War II U.S. Army Air Forces ferry fuel tank used to extend the range of fighter aircraft and light bombers during overseas delivery flights.

These auxiliary tanks were installed for long ferry routes during World War II, including U.S. to England (North Atlantic), Alaska to Russia (ALSIB), and Hawaii to Australia. Managed under the Air Transport Command, ferry operations were essential to building Allied air power abroad.

This tank is functional and represents an important piece of WWII aviation logistics history. Unlike combat drop tanks, ferry tanks were used specifically for long-distance aircraft delivery and typically removed upon arrival.

Great display piece for collectors, restorers, or WWII aviation enthusiasts.
